5E3 Deluxe & 5F11 Vibrolux Point to Point This point-to-point (PTP or P2P) layout is intended for a blank Hammond style chassis or a 'cake pan' build. You've got to keep everything pretty close together to make PTP work. Keep in mind you can build in '3D' with point-to-point and elevate some components up, over the top to avoid component crowding. Marsh Tweed Trem-King A.K.A. Vibrolux 5F11 This is a great Tweed Era 110 combo amp with full warm clean tone that turns up to 10 Watts of Classic Crunch and OD!! All with awesome foot switchable bias vary tremolo AKA Vibrato! Comes standard with a Weber 10' Alnico Speaker! Vintage style footswitch is included! A stock 5E3 definitely has more authority than a stock 5F11. The difference is probably attributable to three factors: Lower current available from the 5F11 power transformer; Less preamp gain due to unbypassed second gain stage in the 5F11; More output stage drive and compression in the 5E3. The Vibrolux had its original mains transformer, but the output transformer had been changed to a Princeton/Deluxe spec 125A1A. We decided to keep it, because Fender also used this transformer in the 50s Vibrolux towards the end of the decade. Its date code corresponded with 1963 and 1973, but the cloth-covered wires suggested the latter.
